While the worst thing about Hugo Schwyzer is that he has assaulted women, the fact that he makes a profit while smugly flagellating himself and telling men and women how to be better feminists, nay, better people, is just unbearable and is literally painful for some survivors to have to see him dole out his “hard-fought wisdom” about male privilege when no, we have so much better things to say but you keep on talking over women and you get so much money and respect for talking about how you “were” an abuser but I get nothing but men telling me obviously the only reason I’m a feminist is because I’m oversensitive and overreacting to my abuse.

That also stings a lot.
